Always a true entrepreuneur at heart, Leslie Wilkins–Gaudio, inventor and co-owner of isABeltLTD knew she had something BIG when the idea for her isABelt product hit her. The inspiration for the isABelt product was driven out of personal need for a fashion solution product that just didn’t exist. Leslie was tired of “constantly” having to wear a bulky belt when she didn’t want to. “I really wasn’t much of a “belt” person, and every time I put together a “great” outfit I found if I didn’t put on a “belt” I would be miserable all day since my pants would not stay up, OR if I bent or sat down I would have the dreaded “plumbers butt”. However, everytime I put a belt on, no matter how thin the belt was, I kept getting a NASTY bulge in the front, and who needs extra bulge”! After a night of shopping and dining with her “fashionista” friends, one of her friends, who was “dressed to the nines”, kept tugging and pulling at her jeans and finally, out of total frustration, shouted “I wish there was a way to keep my pants up without a belt”! This was Leslie’s EUREKA moment and the isABelt was born.
